What is Trigenics?
Trigenics is a system designed to compliment other therapies
to gain immediate pain relief and healing. It incorporates a component of three
contemporary procedures: Western, Ancient and Manual. It is the specific combination
of these components used skillfully that makes Trigenics especially effective. The
three main components of Trigenics are applied pressure to a myopoint (pressure point), muscle activation performed by the patient against the therapist’s resistance,
and patient respiration exercises (autogenic breathing). These three components
combined result in immediate benefits.
Why Trigenics?
Trigenics allows for deeper treatments earlier in the
rehabilitative process without the pain associated with other manual therapies.
Therefore positive results can be achieved more rapidly than other soft tissue rehabilitation
modalities. Trigenics can be used for all patients, ages and conditions, and is
a preferred treatment of many professional athletes and celebrities.
How come I’ve never heard of this therapy before?
The training for Trigenics is very extensive and very
few individuals in Calgary practice with this technique. This gives you an advantage
as a patient at our clinic as you can rest assured that your care includes the latest
in techniques out in the market.
Does it hurt?
You will feel some tenderness and soreness in the muscles
similar to the discomfort that is experienced with a therapeutic massage. Most of
our patients find the discomfort to be temporary and notice immediate relief following
the procedure.
What are the advantages of this treatment?
Trigenics often produces results in fewer treatments
than other therapies, and addresses conditions that may not respond to other conventional
disciplines. This treatment is a low-force technique and can be utilized on all
ages, for those who are in pain, and for people who are very limited in mobility.
We frequently have patients that have tried many different treatments and respond
the most favorably to this modality.
